USB Intermittently Recognized by Windows 11

My Logitech web camera is second hand. The USB is Type A. It came with a Type C adapter. I've used the camera successfully, but not always reliably. When Windows fails to detect it, I unplug and then insert it into each of the 3 Dell ports.. I use or don't use the adapter. Sometimes it works, more often it doesn't.

Fixes for this are described as:

1.Restart your computer. ✔️

2. Use a different port. ✔️

3. Run USB troubleshooter

4. Uninstall the USB device I want to try this but can't find the camera in device manager.

5. Disable the Selective USB setting

6. Install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

7. Install the latest Windows updates✔️

8. Reinstall USB controllers

9. Access the USB drive from LInux

10. Repair your Windows system.

I bought a Logitech Brio from Amazon. The package was unsealed in the shipping envelope. Even so, I plugged it in. No response from Windows 11. Returned.

Can I possibly do something with what I already have? I tried to find the camera in Device Settings, but couldn't. Is it worth further aggravation? I know web cameras are not a common topic, but thought I'd try anyway.

Thanks 🌺
