Browser Guard stops blocking adds after several hours

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I've mentioned that Browser Guard recently started to have issues with blocking of adds. It's started to be annoying, the only reliable solution is to remove Guard from App Store and install it back. But after several hours it starts failed again.

Today I took screenshots to demonstrate what's wrong.

OS: Mac OS 14.4.1 (23E224)
Browser version: 17.4.1 (19618.1.15.11.14)
Page: https://www.macworld.com/article/2316897/these-open-ear-headphones-pack-both-sound-and-safety-for-less-than-40.html
I ignored it on a notebook with a few years old installation, but the same behaviour appears on the freshly configured new machine (about a week old).

I'm attaching two screenshots containing timestamp in the name.

Is there any way how can I hold the initial state?

Thank you,

Radek

Hi Matt,

Thank you reply.

Unfortunately not, direct update with opened Safari and the new tab with the page - https://www.macworld.com/article/2316897/these-open-ear-headphones-pack-both-sound-and-safety-for-less-than-40.html

looks like this now:

Should I clear some cache somewhere?

Thanks,

Radek

P.S.: I've mentioned that load of advertisement seem to be async as they appear a few seconds after content is displayed.
