  10. gatortail's post in Browser guard injecting requests to sentry.io on every pageload on Chrome? was marked as the answer
Apologies, we implemented Sentry to help identify errors to improve the product but it was generating much more traffic than anticipated.  As a result we removed Sentry in v2.6.15
Regarding the use of Sentry, "errors are mission critical to developers. That's the Sentry product core. If you see a POST to ingest.sentry.io (or sentry.io/api/\d+/store/) it's recording an error. That error may or may not be visible to the end user, but without Sentry the deveopment team will likely never know these errors are occuring".  As the errors are discovered the Browser Guard team can address them and improve the product.

  13. gatortail's post in Real-time malware notifications? was marked as the answer
    Hi @bjm
The setting for Real-time malware notifications are related to malicious items we detect within the page that we can remove and keep the page safe.  A skimmer is an example.  You have the ability to suppress the notification of this occuring but we will still remove the mailcious item unless you allow list it.
Overall site blocks are served in real-time, but there is no way to suppress these.  We're blocking the site so you need to choose if you want to honor the block and back away or if you want to proceed to the blocked page.
  14. gatortail's post in Malwarebytes Premium and Browser Guard on Chromebook was marked as the answer
@NewTricks the Android version of Premium is not currently connected to Browser Guard as noted above.
There's a new version of the Android app releasing soon and then later in the year we'll look at integration of that with the Browser Guard extension.  In the meantime, we'll look into suppressing the paid features of BG on Chromebooks to remove the confusion.
We appreciate your feedback and suppport!

The permission was optional up till now.  It allows Browser Guard and our anti malware product to communicate with one another.  This allows us to provide a better customer experience by allowing the products to work in sync with one another vs being unaware of one another.
