Enable tamper protection and then click on exit in system tray crash MB 5.x

Recommended Posts

When activating Tamper Protection > Shut Down Malwarebytes. Then click on the system tray to exit MB 5.x. Wait for the popup to ask if you want to cancel or type in your password.

Clicking on cancel will make it impossible to start MB 5 from the desktop or system tray. When trying to click on exit in the system tray in the right click menu, You get a .NET Error.

I have tried to look at my event log viewer without any possible errors.

Like I said before, it's impossible to start MB 5 after clicking on cancel. A reboot is needed to get back at a working MB 5.

Logs attached. No MB 5x log could be generated by Support Tool because Tamper Protection is activated.

Edit: Clicking in the system tray and on MB to hide or show MB. Makes it possible to start normally again. No reboot needed.

Edit: 7zip:ed the logs, because it was too big.
