dlfnlvr928 Posted April 4, 2023 ID:1561776 Share Posted April 4, 2023 I uninstalled Malwarebytes about 2 years ago. It has continued to run anyway, and I couldn't figure out why. It still appears in Remove Programs, but I get an error message after clicking Uninstall. It says "Windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbuns.exe". I just spent nearly 3 hours with the Geek Squad at Best Buy (remote assistance). Despite them trying everything in the book and deleting leftover files/folders/etc. from the registry and wherever else, I still get the error message. I've emailed y'all a couple of times, but I never hear back. The Geed Squad said I need to bring my computer to them and leave it because my operating system is corrupted. Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer. Press the Scan button. It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
