I then realized Malwarebytes wasn't up to date so I uploaded it, but is still sees AstroSaveConverter as a Malware (malwarebyteslogs2.txt). No new version of AstroSaveConverter has been realised. Thanks to the hubblecache clear, Malwarebytes doesn't see the program as a virus anymore. However, it still shows up on VirusTotal, is there anything I should do about it ? Also, we will probably release a new version of the software in a few weeks : will the new version be detected as a virus aswell ? Can we do anything to prevent that ? Staff cli Posted February 3, 2021 Staff ID:1436453 Share Posted February 3, 2021 (edited) Our engine format and configuration in VirusTotal is different than our consumer and corporate products’ default configuration. In VirusTotal we use a command-line engine with different configuration and detection techniques/heuristics which might detect more than the commercial product. There are also false-positive suppression mechanisms in the commercial product which are not present in the command-line engine in VirusTotal. This file has been whitelisted for our commercial products and it is not detected anymore.
