Can your computer get infected without installing the infection program?

Today i want to play COD Mobile in my PC so i download the software called game loop garena, i am not install/running the program yet i just download it. Let's assume this program is a malware, virus or anything else, can this infected your computer if you not install/running it ?

And also I would like to upload the program here so you guys can check it.

Sophisticated attacks on under protected computer systems can occur.  However, was your system infected, through an under protected browser, when you opened the website?

Please DO NOT upload suspicious software to the Malwarebytes forum.  Instead, upload suspicious software to Virus Total and let over 70 different AV/AM engines perform their analysis.

Hey i upload the file to virus total and it's show clean results. And i have avast free installed as my daily av and MB free. Both show clean file, i think it's safe
