Help recovering lifetime product key from non bootable computer?

Recommended Posts

Hi @PaulO   :welcome:

Did you originally purchase from Malwarebytes and did you by chance provide a Email on a external email provider like Gmail or Hotmail / Outlook ?

If the latter, you can probably search the email archive for the Email that had the license key(s).

and if you have a license thru Cleverbridge  then support can likely help you to search for the license key(s).

I would encourage you, if you have not already done so, to create a Help Ticket with Support.   This forum can only provide you generic type help.

Please go to this link   https://support.malwarebytes.com/community/contactsupport/pages/home-support

Provide the detail and submit the ticket.

Do scroll down to the section “Create Ticket”.

Please double check that you supply a valid / properly spelled & correct Email  ( hopefully the same one you used at the time or original purchase).

Support is the best suited to help you.

Regards,

If your machine is non-operable or the disc is not working, there is not a way to get it off the hardware.

You did not mention who you purchased from.   Was that on Malwarebytes site ?

( I kind of think you read some post that was very very one of a kind.)

Just to be clear, the OP's issue is that the hardware system board failed.  There is no loss of legitimate license.

@PaulO

For those licenses you purchased thru Cleverbridge, you can login to the MyAccount portal using the original purchase email and then see what licenses are in use.

Then you can also poll each of your installed machines, and make an inventory of the License on each box.

When you bought licenses directly from Malwarebytes, you would have supplied a Email at the original purchase.

That same email is what you should use to login to Malwarebytes MyAccount.

If you have misplaced or do not have the password for that login, use the blue "Forgot password" link.

Keep in mind that the Email has to be valid and active for the purpose of password reset.

and lastly, if that email is no longer in service, Support will assist you in getting the current Email in place for the Cleverbridge purchases.
