Hi I had an issue with malware on my phone before. And I want to know the ways someone can hack into my phone. 

Could they upload something by sending a picture?

Also. I spotted an app called Upsell. Pics attached. Can anyone give me info on this?

Sorry for the delay in responding as I was on holiday.

To my knowledge, there is no mobile malware sent/attached via an image file.  Malware is most often unintentionally installed from third party store (outside of Google Play), and browser redirects convincing users to install something.  Once one piece of malware is installed, it can then install other malware in the background if given the permissions.

The version of Upsell found on Google Play appears to be clean.  If you like to send an Apps Report, I can check the version you have installed on your device along with anything else installed.

To send an Apps Report with Malwarebytes for Android use the following instructions.

1.Open the Malwarebytes for Android app.

2.Tap the Menu icon.

3. Tap Your apps.

4. Tap three lines icon in upper right corner.

5. Tap Send to support

Choose an email app to send Apps Report.

Your email app will open with the Apps Report included. Send the Apps Report to create a ticket.
