can i get infected by other phones connected to the same wifi?

i found some viruses on my little sister's phone and i was wondering if i can get infected on my devices just by being connected to the same home wi-fi

Hi @ParanoiaBoy,

I want to say "technically" yes, but it would have to be a very sophisticated piece of malware to pull this off.  Therefore, most likely this will NOT be the case.  Now if you get a suspicious text and/or message  via another platform with a link from your sister, that  would be more alarming.  Still, even in that case you would have to click the link AND accept the install.  I feel your healthy level of paranoia (as your handle implies) would stop you
