Unable to start protection

Hi @BeckyWare, I split your post out from the one you responded to so it's easier to troubleshoot.

For starters, please download the latest version of MB3 from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3 and install it over top of your existing installation. if that doesn't work, please grab a new set of mb-check results so we can see the new logs
