Reboot required two months after virus quarantined

Malwarebytes detected a virus on June 9. On August 23, suddenly got the red "Reboot required in order to complete the quarantine process" popup in the system tray. I'm sure the system has rebooted several times since the June 9 for Microsoft updates. Why did we get this message now?

If you're running Windows 10 and have Fast Boot enabled (which is the default), shutting down and restarting doesn't carry out full reboot. Try using the Restart option instead and see if it resolves your issue.

If you follow the reboot and check the quarantine tab again, is there anything new in there? If not, can you run mb-check from https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb3_check and attach the zip file it creates on your desktop? This should give us an indication of what happened.
