DAG Posted October 30, 2016 ID:1069204 Share Posted October 30, 2016 Problem arising today for the first time. Running Windows 10 Pro (delayed MS updates choice) and MS Office 365 Prop Plus. Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit won't let Powerpoint open - it comes up with the attached message. Been running both programs for months on this OS; never a problem. Can anyone help? FYI I am running Malware Bytes Anti-Malware (Home) Premium and F-Secure, both fully up to date. I did a full scan and found no viruses. I just want to confirm that based on what I am seeing in the logs. If it does work, then I know what the issue is and I can get this over to our team. I am awaint for malwarebytes to respond. the only work around is to "deactivate" the protection on malwarebytes. This can be done on the computer or the management console: 1) open Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit 2) go to shields tab 3) Select Microsoft Office Powerpoint 4) Click Deactivate on the top that worked for the computers at my work place. Powerpoint just crashes on startup. Disabling the Anti_exploit for PowerPoint seems to be a good workaround, but not something I want to keep forever.
