After a ransomware page took over my computer, I was led to this Beta. After installing it, it doesn't detect one, and yet my computer displayed the scam blue screen as I brought it out of sleep just now. It ran through what it does with the bogus blue screen, restarted my computer, and after the restart I opened it and it hasn't detected it, yet tells me my computer is fully protected.

Now what?

Hello JDAliix and :welcome:

Using the native Windows built-in zip utility, please create the following, separate, .zip (not .7z or .rar) archive files for MBARW developer team analysis:

                                 "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware\"
                                 "C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\MBAMService\logs\"
                                 "C:\ProgramData\MalwarebytesARW\"

Please attach the .zip archives to your next reply.  Thank you for your beta testing contribution to the Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware (MBARW Beta) project and your valued feedback.

Able to find anything? I ask because my computer repeatedly restarted itself, over which I had no control, with the fake bluescreen four or five times in a row, a few days ago, seeming to emanate from a trusted website. I could repeat what you wanted for the above request, if you like.

Hello JDAliix:

Because of your current description of symptoms, the computer is probably infected and malware removal actions are not permitted in this sub-forum.

I recommend following the advice from the topic: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers and have one of the Malware Removal Experts assist you with your issue.

If, as recommended, you do open a topic in Malware Removal Help, please make reference to this thread.

If you would like to get off to a very fast start, the Malware Removal Experts would appreciate it if you would also attach (not compress/copy/paste) both the FRST.txt and the Addition.txt output diagnostic reports from only Log Set 1 into your new topic. Please do not alter any pre-configured FRST categories as the default settings are well suited for malware removal actions.

At the conclusion of clean-up, please update this topic with your computer's then status regarding the operation of MBARW Beta8.

Thank you.
