Hello

Today Malwarebytes had a message upon start up saying that its rootkit module could not start and that this might be a sign of a rootkit. I got an error number [ forgotten].

Maybe I should uninstall Malwarebytes and reinstall?

Hello sarjohn and :welcome:

If a simple restart of Microsoft Windows to the Normal boot mode does not resolve the issue, carefully note the error message and please proceed to step #1:

  1. Please read the topic Diagnostic Logs and then individually ATTACH the 3 requested logs in your next reply to this thread only.
  2. The 3 files, from Step 1, to be individually ATTACHED from your desktop are CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt.  Please do not Zip nor Copy and Paste them into a reply. Please do not alter, any FRST categories as the configuration is well suited for this forum.

Thank You.

I restarted my Win 7 [64 bit] PC in Normal mode and I not getting an error message from Malwarebytes. I am also able to do full scans with Malwarebytes with no issues or messages for errors.

I did the above measures anyway and obtained the 3 logs. They are large and may contain sensitive information about my programs. So I am not sure if I should attach the 3 files now.
