Trojan downloader imgvemver1.6.exe

Recommended Posts

Good day to all. Today, I ran my updated malwarebytes, and it came up with a trojan downloader h:\i386\Apps\Apps20460\imgvemver1.6.exe. This is on an E-machines computer running XP home, and h: being what I believe to be my recovery partition. I did some google research, but found it lacking as to whether I should go ahead and remove what malwarebytes thinks, and may very well be a trojan downloader(but I guess that is why I am curious, because it is on my recovery partition), and if this is may be a false positive, and I remove it, will it cause my recovery partition not to function properly. I appreciate all imput in this matter, as this is the first time I have run across anything like this, and am in need of some guidance. Thanks for your time.

Regards

Peetman
