[SOLVED] Protection from exploits in secure https web pages?

As far as I know:

Yes, it does not matter what source (the internet, a file from a harddrive ect.) contains the exploit, as long as the program being exploited (in this case the browser) is protected by MBAE.

Of course, MBAE should also be able to stop the type of exploit used, if it's one that can bypass MBAE you're still in trouble.

If I'm mistaken someone will (hopefully) correct me.
