Lyrics monkey media player malware can't get rid of

We somehow have lyrics monkey or something like that keeps trying to install media player when we are on websites we encounter pop ups. Have done several malware bytes scans and avast as well.  It won't go away.  Happens on Chrome, and Mozilla, haven't tried IE.  Anyone know about this and how to get rid of it?  It must be hidden somewhere, we did go in and uninstall some versions of this that were installed on our computer, perhaps they were not truly uninstalled.
