Removing ScorpionSaver from Windows 8 (dds doesn't work)

Hi, I recently built a computer for my friend and he accidently clicked on a google ad instead of the real Java website and installed scorpionsaver.

 

I tried reading some of the forum posts for help and following the instructions, although the dds.scr and dd.com files don't seem to want to run in Windows 8 and complain about being in compatibiltiy mode. I think I'm a bit over my head here and was wondering if anyone could offer a helping hand.

Download OTL to your Desktop

• Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
• Please tick the Scan All users. Next, click the Quick Scan button. The scan wont take long.
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time and post them in your topic.
