I went through you forums search and found nothing on this so im asking how do I get this out of my computer?

I have used malware scanner and it didn't get rid of it

my antivirus doesn't even detect it it

I went and found 2 papers online to remove it and followed the directions and it still wasn't removed.

it was your scanner I used to remove it and it failed

im thinking if I can get it removed with help in these forums instead of dumping my system and spending 20-35 hrs re-installing everything I may pay for the full version even though it aparantly cant do what I need it to do

I will consider it though

I picked it up getting some superhero wallpapers on some nook in wall website

ive tried trend you guys ad-aware and trend housecall and Microsoft security essential and nothing does anything and the directions on the web don't work either

what do I do

only thing I didn't do was go in and delete code but I don't know how to do that so I didn't.

if you guys explain it well enough though and its my only hope ill do it since at this point my only recourse is a total system dump and re-install anyways.

this is what it is and it takes over my browser so when I pull it up it gives me theyre crappy advertising page and I cant get my own homepage to come up on browser opening anymore

Hi and Welcome!! Ravage65 :)

My name is Robybel.

I would be more than happy to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems you might have. Logs can take a while to research, so please be patient and know that I am working hard to get you a clean and functional system back in your hands. I'd be grateful if you would note the following:

  • I will be working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for the issues on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
IMPORTANT NOTE : Please do not delete, download or install anything unless instructed to do so.

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision. Doing so could make your system inoperable and could require a full reinstall of your Operating System and losing all your programs and data.

Vista and Windows 7 users:

These tools MUST be run from the executable. (.exe) every time you run them

with Admin Rights (Right click, choose "Run as Administrator")

Stay with this topic until I give you the all clean post.

Having said that....Let's get going!! ;)

I sent a reply from my e-mail but then I figured I would check because I wasn't sure that would work.

I don't use all those facebook twitter things.

it didn't post so ill repeat what I said

you guys are awsome

I figured what I got couldn't be fixed unless I can write code and since I programed basic in 1983 I cant anymore.

give me a couple hours and ill have those logs you requested.

that's what I said but I figure since im here ill mention I really don't mind doing this because since it cant be fixed by anybody else maybe this will help you improve your product for other people.

I hope that posting from the web page instructions I made in my last post turned out right because I think its the first time I ever put an attachment to a post of mine.

theres 2 places with those instructions on the web and both places have the exact same instructions down to the letter and pictures and that's the only instructions on the web for what to do.

thank you

sincerely

then I put the settings like you said and I did this like 3 times but every time it gets to scanning firefox settings and locks up and says not responding

oh sorry I forgot to state that im running windows home premium 7

and I use 4 browsers

explorer for regular surfing and gaming since its nicer and more secure

google chrome since they give me 15 gigs of cloud space free to back up my computer stuff(google soes really suck tho)

torch because they got the best internet television of even all the standalone internet television programs so its my television browser(always connects and has a huge channel listing)

and firefox since the video on it works best like for instance my explorer wouldn't work my Netflix so customer service had me get firefox because it will work Netflix well so I use firefox for all my video watching.

hope this helped because this super bug cant be detected by virus scans or your scanner and now it breaks all attempts to find it im assuming

also the only places that talk about it on the net both say use spyhunter so I did try it but they wanted money for removal so I dumped it.

I got tired of paying places to fix stuff and they still got crappy products.

id rather try before you buy an then purchase or donate after I know it works

spyhunter did detect it tho in the scan

hope this helps

sincerely

I was outside smoking a cig and was thinking maybe I can solve this by just dumping all my browsers and re-installing them?

if this will work ill do it but not until we go thru it and fix it here to help you guys an gals improve your product services.

back in the early 2000's I used ad-aware but they went to crap and theyre program went from best to crappy so I dumped em and don't pay for theyre product anymore.

ill continue to work with you guys here tho so you can fix this in the future for other people and your program gets better since it really just hijacks the browser and then tracks from the search bar everyplace you go.

for some reason it hasn't bothered torch tho.

curious

wonder if its big brothers NIA stuff trying to get free porno from people or something?

LOL!

I was coming here to ask what desktop ini. is because I have them appearing on my desktop and in folders on my desktop I store stuff and it has different code in each one.

is this something your scan started my comp doing or am I being hacked by bored people in china?

im laughing because I noticed the list is growing quickly of people that picked this thing I got up and cant get rid of it either.

I must admit in over 20 yrs. of loving video games and computers(they didn't have these things or cell phones when I grew up) I have never seen a bug or virus like this because I have always got rid of every single one I ever got with tools I pick up or purchase or with online articles.

this is a first for me having to go to a forum for bug removal.

I hope im helping you guys not bothering you but I really think I might be getting hacked because im also having stuff disappear out of my favorites list for no reason and these desktop ini. things didn't appear all at once.

1 every couple hours or so.

are they like trace code so they can access my folders or something?

thank you

sincerely

you said to use a flash drive

when you said that I had to go look up on a search engine what a flash drive is.

I don't have one or have any clue on how to use one

I went to best buy site and they got one for 7$

is it absolutely necessary that I buy one or can I just fix this using some other means.

I think ill try just dumping my browsers and re-installing them if I have to go buy a flash drive thingy

id like to try to help you guys figure how to fix this with me but I really don't want to go buy hardware I have no use for and didn't even know existed until a few moments ago.

I could have sworn those things were called gigabyte sticks.

maybe they changed the name over the years or this is some kind of newfangled tech I never seen before.

sure looks like a gig stick to me tho.

is there any other way than purchasing hardware to fix this?

thank you

sincerely
