  1. Thanks for the email message and being open and upfront. I discovered Malwarebytes very soon after launch. I became an Affiliate when that program became available. This response to this incident is outstanding. How many emails have you received from Microsoft alerting you to an issue and detailing the solution so quickly? MBAM is still the best product for personal and Small Business protection and I will continue to recommend to my clients.

    This does seem strange. Something deleted all the program files from Malwarebytes, but none of the configuration files. Do you know if you disabled Self-Protection?

    Not that I noticed. I went to see if it was on that is when I noticed that it was uninstalled. 

    I'll keep an eye on it. I have this program installed on hundreds of machines, I want to be ready for the calls if they materialize and have a solution available.

  3. I have used MalwareBytes for years, I am even an Affiliate (1967). Today I noticed that my product (Premium) was uninstalled. I attempted to run using the Start, RUN command and MBAM to get started. Nothing. Not listed in Programs either. Desktop shortcut, Gone! 

    I downloaded the Free Version and it picked up my licence and upgraded by free version to Premium. It needed to be updated, The last scan report is from August. I know for a fact this was running properly last week. 

    Can anyone provide an explanation?

  4. FYI - the posted fix worked on XP and Windows 7 Pro worked for me. I have another Win 7 machine that had the unable to login issue, Safe mode then system restore corrected that.

    Do not delete the Quarantined files. The only issue I cannot correct is where someone deleted these files. MBAM doing a good job of responding quickly.

  5. I used to tell users I support the Free version was good IF they updated and ran once a week. THEY DON'T DO IT. I have started installing the PRO version on all PC's I touch. Then I configure it for Realtime updating and daily scans.

    Once in a while a manual update of the program is needed but other than that, it is one great program and a must have for Small Businesses who do not have dedicated IT Staff.

  6. Running MBAM Pro. The scan runs after an update. Not sure why.

    In the Scan area I have all boxes checked except save log file. Frequency is Daily.

    This new schedule is different from the "Automatic" feature of previous versions. I am finding that current users of MBAM who purchased this at my direction, are finding their computer unprotected due to the fact that the automatic updates/scanning are not happening. Every install needs to be touched and updated to allow for "automatic Updates" ?

    Please advise.

    Let see if I can explain this more clearly.

    User 1 has the paid version of MBAM. It does autoscan and updates once a day on older versions. New version comes out and the update and the scan must be manually scheduled. If this is not done the software works, blocks IP addresses but does not update or scan automatically. So, every installation before the new scheduling method is not updating or scanning.
