  1. good one ShyWriter but you need to change name to ConfidentWriter I think that fits you much better. i also think you need to run for political office geez , why limit yourself with the way things are going they need all the "grownup help" that it appears you can offer. great comment plus thanks for detailson Anvisoft. i agree workforce probably world wide. bu tlook at the chinese symbol in center of my anvisoft , http://www.anvisoft.com/about/about.html
  2. Rats , your a Moderator there, so why not tell us where the Anvisoft Company is located. If you can do that it would be great. Or if you yourself do not know please find out that information from contacts there. Most Companies have those details listed at their website, for example http://www.malwarebytes.org/company Thank You
  3. where is this Anvisoft located , been to main site and the 3 products in their product line look oddly similar to that chinese outfit Kingsoft PCDoctor's features, http://www.kingsoftsecurity.com/ just broken down into seperate software. maybe its too is from China.
  4. This false positive is there already a fix in on this mbam driver file C:/Windows/System32/drivers/mbamswissarmy.sys cause it came up at another forum and the poor guy has followed directions but is still unsure of himself on whether to believe it is nothing more then a false alarm. regarding it's detection by Avast. He has followed directions that i found here to add the file in excluded ones in his AV along with the other directions regarding this by GT500, found here in this topic, http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6931 thank you
  5. I hope you guys and gals are working on this part of the application. MBAM is the best with detection and removal. But needs to turn it up a notch on the protection aspect. When it does get PROTECTION MODULE to the level of excellence it has achieved in the areas of detection and removal "WHOA LOOKOUT MALWARE " This is overall an outstanding first rate application by a team of superb dedicated individuals that has Our backs and seeks to place all these thugs in their crosshairs to take them out with extreme prejudice. Thanks again for your hard work. laserjet
  6. which of the Antiviruses and Antimalware programs can prevent this infection? Or at least detect and remove it? I heard this Trojan is a nasty piece of malware.

  9. I know trojan downloaders set the stage for rogues but are there any known cases where a rogue allows other rogues to infiltrate your PC or spawn multiple rogues ?
  10. anybody here use this or know for a fact if it scans registry files? i know avira and nod 32 do not . I visited the homepage and no info regarding the registry.
  11. The current version DriveSentry 3.1 has problems with that memory leakaged . over the holidays a few of us were given a patch that tried to address this and we gave imput back to them , they are soon releasing a new version according to the DriveSentry representative Katie at Wilders Security Forum that corrects this issue.
  12. It may be the video Graphics card has either gone bad or if you recently used some drive cleaner utility, or registry cleaner utility it may have wiped the drivers from the system. I would first do this if you have the software for that card thats in the PC try to reinstall if not call dell . if the computer is older, then the card may have gone bad it does happen.
  13. Oops sorry for my error with this reply please read next reply thank you
  14. This is a quote from the Johnathan Blog the Link to it was provided in initial post, Does This Mean that Firefox is Insecure? No, and here’s why: "This particular malware targets our program, but once you have malicious software running on your system, it can just as easily attack other programs, or harm your computer in other ways. ' 'This isn’t contracted by just browsing around the web with Firefox 3. In fact, the Malware Protection features in Firefox 3 are designed specifically to prevent sites from being able to attack your computer. " "The people getting infected here are either downloading enticing files that have the malware hiding inside (which is why Firefox 3 hands off all downloads to your computer’s virus scanner once downloaded) or, as some sites are reporting, people who have already been infected in the past having their computers forced to download this file as well. ' "Typical Firefox 3 users who avoid downloading software they don’t trust are unlikely to ever see this, and even the sites reporting it describe its incidence as “rare”.
  15. ALERT!!!! **** Warning Malware with a very different point of attack.**** ALERT!!!! Mozilla Security Blog About Mozilla Security Malicious Firefox Plugin ( Password Stealing Application ) 12.08.08 - 11:07am Issue A malicious piece of software masquerading as a legitimate and popular Firefox plugin is spreading. Trojan.PWS.ChromeInject.A collects a user’s passwords from banking and other sites and forwards them to a remote server. Impact If a user has been tricked into installing this plug-in, or had it installed through a separate vulnerability it may compromise passwords and the user’s accounts. This trojan is not Greasemonkey, even though it uses some of Greasemonkey’s internal IDs. Status To check whether your computer is infected, look for “Basic Example Plugin for Mozilla” in the Plugin list by choosing Add-ons from the Tools menu in Firefox. Then choose Plugins. If you see this plugin, disable it. Johnathan Nightingale blogged about it here: http://blog.johnath.com/2008/12/08/firefox-malware/ Credit This issue was identified in the wild by BitDefender. Their analysis is here: http://news.bitdefender.com/NW900-en--BitD...pplication.html Category: Firefox, Security |
  16. I came across this YouTube video review by the owner of Remove-malware.com A very nice review.
  17. Your very welcome and I am glad that your systems up and running well again .
  18. On the webroot spysweeper with antivirus, It's quite possibleYou may inadvertenly or some program on your computer, has deleted the "unins000.dat" file accidentally. In this case, you cannot uninstall the product completely, because some of its installation material has been lost. You can reinstall the product, and then uninstall it (to get a clean uninstall); or you can simply delete its folder, which will leave some remnants on your computer but nothing significant. The icon from Norton on desktop or in start menu should be easily removed by right clicing on it and deleting it . then empting the recycle bin. i would check program files to see if any norton folders are left as well. if it is not showing in control panel in remove programs list then it most likely is gone. and simply delete the icon.
