This is still happening (Malwarebytes vanishes from computer) with latest versions of the program on Windows 7 machines that I support, so I'm not able to determine the exact scenario or details of what's happening as the USER IS NOT AWARE THAT IT IS GONE! This is a BAD SITUATION as it can be MONTHS before I get a call from the owner/user. I can't believe this - I think it's a HUGE vulnerability -- these are paid for licenses and this update/upgrade process needs to be a bit more failsafe for users that aren't very computer savvy - the most vulnerable users in the first place!

Is 2.x working?

Just checked - cannot do scan either. Checks for updates. Then goes to scan complete - time : 10 seconds, 0 items scanned. I downgraded to 3.1.1 beta as it had been working well for a while - but, after a minute or so (probably when it triers to check for updates), real time protection turns off on it. My guess is MBAM's update servers are victim of some sort of attack or huge admin mistake.

Ditto - happened this morning. Realtime web protection won't start. Reboot and have 2 protections disabled. Malware will start back, but web protection will not.

Thank you! 1 more request/suggestion: On the main dashboard screen of the MBAM interface, it says, for example, 70 Realtime Detections. My natural instinct is to click there - there should be a link on that to take me to a list of what those 70 realtime detections were! Same for scan detections.

The pop-up warning/notice that comes up when a website is blocked is super inadequate - can't imagine who designed this part of the software: What any reasonable person needs to evaluate whether what was blocked is legitimate is nowhere to be found - I'm talking about What URL was the browser on/where did the request come from? What is the URL that was actually blocked? The pop-up has a clickable link that makes you think you might get the REPORT of the block - but, no, clicking it just brings up the main MBAM window with the status. Then, one has to click click click to get to REPORTS. And then, by default, the report list always comes up in ascending date order! So more clicks to change the list so that the newest is on the top not the bottom. (PLEASE make it stick!) And then, have to check mark the report, and view it. But the report is absolutely worthless. None of the info described above (The URL/site the browser was on, the URL being requested) is in the report! Come on MBAM - think about this and make this stuff easier and more useful!

The sticky post announcing this says the installer includes "Component Package Update 1.0.1096" But, after installing from the download link, my about screen shows "Component Package 1.0.96" Is the post in the forum wrong?????
