  1. I have the same problem but I also have a workaround w/o having to reboot the PC. This seems to happen mostly after the auto updater checks for updates. So what I do is to go into services and click on Malwarebytes service then click restart. This always results in the protection turning back on for me.
  2. Problem: Web protection does not turn on. Attempting to manually start it results in "Starting" but it never starts. I tried this option that was in one of the posts. turned off enable self protection module. Reboot I was able to start web protection, but then later in the day, it reverted back to same problem. Then thereafter enable self protection was back on and could not turn it off anymore. FRST.txt Addition.txt MB-CheckResult.txt
  3. They need to stop treating this on a user by user problem and take an in depth look at the problem. Acknowledge it as the bug it is and let us know that it is indeed being addressed.
  4. Aura, When the auto update to 3.0.5 occurred many users, including myself had a problem with the web protection not starting. I saw that 3.0.6 fixed this and it worked perfectly. You might want to share this with others that had the web protection problem.
  5. here is the fix. upgrade to 3.0.6 check the forum for details of the upgrade. it has a fix for the problem
  6. This problem started to happen after the upgrade to 3.0.5 I have it also. I'm waiting for a response from customer service
