  1. I have scheduled a scanning of harmful elements twice a day and this occupies a total of 3 minutes scanning so are 6 minutes per day. I run a full scan once or twice a month or when I download from the internet from non-https sites: in these cases the time taken takes longer; at night I prefer the pc off. I then scan third-party disks or pendrive or my disks and pendrive that have come into contact with the PC of any third party whoever they are.

    thanks

    greetings

  2. Returning to the main issue as scanning times are long and it does not seem easy to get rid of it:

how long does it take to have a complete personalized scan to keep the pc secure?

Is it compulsory only if threats are detected from scanning harmful elements (which is fast: about 3 minutes) or should it be set at predefined times?

    Thank you
    regards

  3. Scanning time is always about 50 minutes; it was already so with version 3.2; my logs can be found (with regard to version 3.2) to the post corresponding to the following link Memory analysis during personal scanning is too slow in the forum malwarebytes 3.

I did upgrade to Fall Creators Update but before I sent the above logs. As you can see in the post, between the last two versions of windows, the scan times worsened for version 3.1.2 (personally tested) and remained nearly identical to 3.2. Obviously I can not test the 3.3 on Creators Update.

    thanks

    regards

  4. With malwarebytes 3.3.0, with the same scanned system, with full custom scanning, performances worsened a few minutes compared to the previous version.
Since the blame is due to the c: \ windows \ winsxs folder that engages the scanning for over a 20 minutes on about 53 minutes in total for 20 GB of data / applications / system I ask you: Everything I need to do a scan customized complete to keep the system safe? Or do I need to do so only if there are problems with the scanning of harmful elements?
The PC in question is an i3 with 8 Gb Ram and 111 Gb SSD

Attach image results before full custom scanning executed with version 3.3.0
    Thank you for the reply
    regards

  5. Clarifications about the previous post

in the menu you have to indicate the date and time of the last scan and a choice between critical, warning, ok regarding the situation of the mac

You must add the scheduled scan as for the update of the definitions and implement an automatic scan of a disc or pendrive external to the insertion

For the rest it works very well, the performances are great and the consumption of resources both cpu and memory is very low; the same applies to energy consumption that does not minimize battery consumption.

I use a MacBook Pro mid 2012 with macOS 10.13

  6. it would not be bad if, in the menu that opens from the menu bar icon, the date of the last scan and the protect status tag icon will be displayed next to the date of the last update
and also the database version: all of these data should also be displayed in the right area of the malwarebytes main screen

    thanks

    greetings

  7. I would like to know, because I have read today, about the malwarebytes (and other antimalware software) problem ( the thing is cited on silicon.it)
if the product is protected by double-agent attacks and more I would like to know something more about the new ramsomware bad-rabbit that is spreading in Europe? The question is interesting for both the Microsoft Windows system and the macOS system?
    Thank you

  8. Thanks a lot, now it's all clearer; in case of infection, however,  more the alarm is highlighted is better.
it would not be bad, as it did for the windows version, you created the site and the application in Italian and other language; not only in English (also for new features and license text)

In the macOS version, more features are appreciated; to start, it would not be bad if in the menu that opens from the menu bar icon, the date of the last scan and the status tag icon will be displayed next to the date of the last update

    thanks

  9. I assume that when, during a scan, malwarebytes detects a malware move the file in quarantine as for any software similar to Malwarebytes.
I'd like to know what's going on, step by step, when a malware is detected by real-time protection: downloading something with a malware for mac to find out it would seem silly; can you then show the behavior of malwarebytes in this case: are notifications displayed or what happens next? More than that, to find me unprepared in such a situation.
    thank you

  10. I downloaded and launched the recommended tool.
Regarding the five issues he considers, no one is detected: for all the result is "not present"
I attach the new mb-check-result.zip file created after launching the indicated tool

I also attach image results tool

In the meantime I try to scan again  (I'll let you know the timing results) and if you have any other ideas I like it ...
    thank you
    regards

  11. With version 3.1, the full custom scan took about 19 minutes.
From version 3.2, full custom scanning, with the same data on the SSD, takes about 50 minutes, of which 25 or more only for memory.

Regarding the scanning of harmful elements in the new version has been improved and lasts about 10 minutes.

We talk about an ssd containing about 30 Gb of data (including Microsoft Windows 10 (build 16299.19) and various applications including Microsoft Office 2016).

The situation is equal to both an i7 and an i3 both with 8Gb Ram and the same volume of data (on i7 there is no Office 2016)

    Thank you

  12. I would like to know if analyzes are also being made to find malicious  yet unknown threats or codes: a similar feature seems to be there for windows; if I'm not mistaken they call zero-day threats.
At what point are you with protection during web browsing and scan with disc selection?
    thank you

  13. To protect Web browsing from Malwarebytes, in addition to Google Safe Browsing, it could be added to interact with both Safari and other browsers, a function for blocking  content that can be activated by category at user discretion on a Web site categorization set-up screen.
The last two are deactivated by default and must not be enabled (this is for greater security).
Attached image of how it might be the set-up screen. Obviously, disabled categories are not allowed
This feature has already been implemented by other security software and it's not original, and it would be interesting to even implement into MalwareBytes 3

Excuse me if the category are writed in Italian language and not in English
