    Even if the Malwarebytes SMS filter is deactivated in the message settings, it is not possible to deactivate the SMS filter switch in Malwarebytes (the problem should be solved if it’s possibile). On the other hand, the functions of Web Protection (the expected test works correctly), Ad and Tracker Protection (no more banners appear on websites), Send Anonymous Telemetry are excellent.     Answer that they gave me from the technical support:

    We use different technique for detection and among them signature based is one for known threats.

    We are currently looking for adware, malware and rootkits.

    We recommended once a day to scan manually the mac system.

    Real-time should be turned ON every time unless there is other program  causing interference we can turn it off for a while to finish those tasks and again turn it back on.

    I am aware that your macOS product has nothing to do with your Windows product; I would like to know something more about the protection that the product offers for macOS (both real-time and scanning): it only protects based on the signatures of the threats contained in the database or it also has protection against zero-day threats; therefore offers protection, even if differently, the same level of the product for Windows, of course for macOS? (excluding web protection, ad and tracker protection, send anonymous telemetry contained in the iOS version and I hope soon in the macOS version: I am aware that you can not anticipate anything so I do not ask you when it will be)
    I also ask: how often do I need to do a manual scan and how is it enough to rely on real-time protection? I ask because I happened to download the OpenAnyFiles app from the Mac AppStore in the past before it was included in the Malwarebytes signatures and was only deleted with a subsequent manual scan because the protection in real-time, even if it was considered now as a pup (after my installation), he did not detect it until I did not scan it (and if I did not regularly look at the forum I would never have noticed it).

    Kaspersky and Malwarebytes block only the ads of Safari but I trust you more and I do not say to flatter you but because I think: otherwise I would not have bought or recommended the purchase of 11 licenses for Mac / pc, 1 for Android and as soon as possible 1 for iOS. In addition Kaspersky, with a separate browser (Kaspersky Safe Browser: a free iOS app) blocks categories of sites chosen by the user among which you can choose sites for adults / weapons / gambling / pedophilia / violence and others: it would not be bad if you managed to implement it as a function additional but that block the sites on Safari

    I do not know if you have modified something since the day I installed it but initially, for example, if I opened the website www.meteo.it and viewed the video of weather forecasts, advertising videos were first displayed, now the right video starts without advertising; unfortunately you can not do the same for the app of the same service as he told me the other day: it's a real shame. Now the sites I visit do not appear anymore advertising. It will mean that I will use the sites and not the respective apps in order to save data traffic especially if I’m in 4g and not in Wi-Fi. I can uninstall Kaspersky ad-cleaner now finally. For the moment, thank you.

    Beta 2 Malwarebytes 3.4: performance deteriorate

    I installed beta 2 of version 3.4 this morning
    I have not noticed any malfunction of the PC if we exclude a deterioration in performance.
    For each new version I perform a scan with these settings:

    The first time lasted about 41 minutes; since there was an extension of the time of 10 minutes I tried to redo it the same without making changes to the installed software and the 41 minutes were confirmed; up to beta 1 the duration was about 30 minutes.

    I do not know if this behavior is normal or if it is still possible to optimize the scan times

    Maybe not for the other apps, but for Safari, I've always used the free Kaspersky ad-cleaner app on iOS, which completely blocked advertising. In the same way I think that these functions are replicable and therefore we could only use Malwarebytes for iOS. Try to watch what it does. The download is free. In the Safe Browser of the same company they also block categories of sites chosen by the user (For example drugs, sex, ecc.) Even that is free and is a pretty good feature.

    I write for my niece (she is a child and may have also made some incorrect moves unintentionally in web browsing) :
    Using onlinevideoconverter.com to convert youtube videos bad websites are reported and one appears with the malwarebytes block malware screen with the big central M,
    It was deactivated without the possibility of reactivating it, even if the PC was restarted, the real time web protection, and the PC started to communicate the presence of viruses aloud.
    I tried to use the same site: the problems are the same except for the protection in real time that it was not turned off on my pc and excluding the talking pc (It  has not communicate anything).
    At the moment I do not have her pc available to carry out tests and send logs; I recommended her one or more, if necessary, personalized scan with all the options selected.
    However, I am attaching the reports of the surveys in real time that have been created on my machine.

    I don't know if it's a false positive or if someone has also included audio messages that are a scam
    If you can already understand something: otherwise if the problem persists, I'll ask the pc for the test that you request to me.

    www.convertfiles.com is dangerous for macOS?

    I have always used the features of www.convertfiles.com from macOS without ever having problems; only once I opened the site from Windows and Malwarebytes reported it as dangerous.
    I wanted to ask: is it a dangerous site even for macOS?
    In the forum it was written that a realtime scan of websites by Malwarebytes for macOS is not necessary because there is Google Safe Browsing.

    Given that the site in question has not been reported as dangerous by Google Safe Browsing, I wanted to know, as far as possible, if there are sites that may contain threats to macOS and in which case, if, according to the Malwarebytes staff, it would not be necessary instead a web protection realtime by Malwarebytes for macOS?
