  1. Ok! Thanks! So, I don't have to do anything to remove it?
  2. I wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the general windows help forum. So, hopefully this is the right place! I have the free version of malwarebytes. It did a scan today and found 5 items that it asked if I wanted to quarantine. I quarantined them, but not sure what they are or if I should be doing anything now? I have no idea what this Babylon is that is in the file names? Here is the text of the log: -Log Details- Scan Date: 3/20/18 Scan Time: 12:28 PM Log File: b750069f-2c5b-11e8-b7ae-58fb846b4724.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.3.1.2183 Components Version: 1.0.262 Update Package Version: 1.0.4424 License: Free -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 16299.309) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Threat Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 307605 Threats Detected: 5 Threats Quarantined: 0 (No malicious items detected) Time Elapsed: 11 min, 17 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Disabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Value: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 2 PUP.Optional.Babylon, C:\Users\Kcobe\AppData\Local\Babylon\Setup, No Action By User, [1696], [339640],1.0.4424 PUP.Optional.Babylon, C:\USERS\KCOBE\APPDATA\LOCAL\BABYLON, No Action By User, [1696], [339640],1.0.4424 File: 3 PUP.Optional.Babylon, C:\USERS\KCOBE\APPDATA\LOCAL\BABYLON\SETUP\SETUP2.ZPB, No Action By User, [1696], [339640],1.0.4424 PUP.Optional.Babylon, C:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-1730344071-2697864038-2864654671-1001\$R6XIIVM.EXE, No Action By User, [1696], [76260],1.0.4424 PUP.Optional.Babylon, C:\USERS\KCOBE\DOWNLOADS\UNLOCKER1.9.2.EXE, No Action By User, [1696], [76260],1.0.4424 Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  3. Thank you so much for your time and all of your help! I really appreciate it!
  4. I haven't gotten any alerts about them. I was on the free trial, which included everything you get with the paid version, but it just switched to the regular free version yesterday. Would I still get the alerts with the regular free version?
  5. Here's the last log from Zemana. I'm not having any other issues. Zemana Log.txt
  6. I did the ADW and it said nothing was found. Here is that log: # AdwCleaner 7.0.7.0 - Logfile created on Sun Jan 21 22:36:44 2018 # Updated on 2018/18/01 by Malwarebytes # Database: 01-16-2018.1 # Running on Windows 10 Home (X64) # Mode: scan # Support: https://www.malwarebytes.com/support ***** [ Services ] ***** No malicious services found. ***** [ Folders ] ***** No malicious folders found. ***** [ Files ] ***** No malicious files found. ***** [ DLL ] ***** No malicious DLLs found. ***** [ WMI ] ***** No malicious WMI found. ***** [ Shortcuts ] ***** No malicious shortcuts found. ***** [ Tasks ] ***** No malicious tasks found. ***** [ Registry ] ***** No malicious registry entries found. ***** [ Firefox (and derivatives) ] ***** No malicious Firefox entries. ***** [ Chromium (and derivatives) ] ***** No malicious Chromium entries. ************************* ########## EOF - C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[S0].txt ##########
  7. I did the scan from Malwarebytes. Nothing was found. It never prompted me to restart the computer. But I did select export, and copy to clipboard. Here is that: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Scan Date: 1/21/18 Scan Time: 4:59 PM Log File: 55cc2296-fef6-11e7-889d-58fb846b4724.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.3.1.2183 Components Version: 1.0.262 Update Package Version: 1.0.3749 License: Free -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 16299.192) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: KRISSY\Kcoberley -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Threat Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 304785 Threats Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Threats Quarantined: 0 (No malicious items detected) Time Elapsed: 25 min, 57 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Value: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 0 (No malicious items detected) File: 0 (No malicious items detected) Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end) I'm moving onto next step.
  8. Yea...they've helped me before! I have no problem to wait! They are generously giving their time!
  9. Thank you so much for your time! I followed the instructions and posted the topic in the Malware Removal for Windows section.
  10. Hello! I keep getting reports about blocked websites. They are not websites I have even tried going to? I asked this question in the "Malwarebytes for Home Support - Malwarebytes 3" area and Porthos replied and said that it's either ad's being blocked or your browser might be infected with a bad extension/addon, and suggested I post the question here. I attached my logs. The log Malwarebytes reports.txt is the exported protection logs for those blocks. I exported each log, copied each to the clipboard, and pasted each into a notepad document so they were all in one file for you. Let me know if you need anything else! Thank you for your time! 11. Sure! I tried to export all the reports but when I selected them all that didn't work. So instead of sending you individual files for each one, I clicked on each one, copied it to clipboard, and pasted it into notepad, so they are all in one file. If it's easier for them to be individual reports just let me know! Malwarebytes reports.txt
  12. Hello! I keep getting reports about blocked websites. They are not websites I have even tried going to? What does that mean? Thanks!
  13. When I did that it just brought up a blank black window....what do I do with that?
  14. UPDATE: Now, today the pin screen comes up just fine, but then when I enter the pin it goes like it's going to start but then the pin screen comes back up again and I have to re-enter the pin, and once I do that then it starts up. Also, I have Netflix app on my computer. I always use it and have never had an issue. I have the computer connected to my TV with HDMI cable. Now, when I went to watch a show, I got an error code: U7361-1254-C00D36B4, which Netflix states, "Sometimes using a TV as an external monitor for your computer can cause this issue." It said to disconnect the computer from the TV and try playing the video. I did that and the video played just fine. If I have the show playing while disconnected from the TV, then connect the TV while the show is playing, it will show up on my TV, but I won't have any sound. If I try to have the TV connected to the computer and play the show that way, I get the error code. The only way it shows up on my TV is if I already have it playing. So, I went on to the next troubleshooting option, which was to disable audio enhancements, which I didn't seem to have when I followed the instructions. The next troubleshoot option was, if using the Windows 10 N or Windows 10 KN edition, they suggested downloading the Windows Media Feature Pack. I am using Windows Home, so I didn't try that. The final troubleshoot option was to ensure you have an up-to-date Windows 10 graphics driver. I went to Device Manager, went to "Display adapters," and went to the "Intel(R) HD Graphics 520." I then right-clicked and chose "Update driver." It did a search and then said it was installing updates. But it doesn't seem like anything changed? I'm not sure how to tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I just have no idea what is going on?!
  15. Hello! You guys are always so helpful, so I am once again back for your knowledge! I have an HP Laptop and when I close the laptop and it goes into hibernation, when I open it up again I usually have no issues. However, yesterday and then again today, I opened it and the screen stayed black. I can hear the fan running, but very quietly - much quieter than usual. Yesterday, I kept hitting the space bar and I unplugged it and waited, and after a while it finally woke up. Today, I tried the same things but it wouldn't work, I finally had to hit the power button to shut it down. Then, it restarted and I went to click on Mozilla to open it up so I could start this post, and all of a sudden the screen went black again. I hit the space bar and it brought me to my password screen, I entered in my pin, and it worked fine. I don't understand what could be happening? Oh...also, yesterday when the screen was black and I kept hitting the touchpad to try and wake up the computer, every time I hit the touchpad it beeped. It was only when I hit the touchpad and it stopped when I stopped touching it. Any ideas? Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
  16. Thanks for replying nukecad! I appreciate you taking the time! My computer now asks for my pin again when I sign back in after the computer being asleep. So, whatever it is seems to have fixed itself!!
  17. Hello. I am not sure what my issue is. I ran updates on my computer. I tried to do a search of the updates so you guys would know which ones, but I couldn't find them. For sure, I know they were "HP updates windows 10 wallpaper CPS," "HP updates HP jumpstart," and "BIOS update utility." After the BIOS update ran, it said the computer needed restarted. I restarted the computer and it asked for my windows password instead of the pin I usually use. I used the password and got in but then when I went to look for the pin in the settings the setup pin wasn't there. I tried to click to add the pin, but that doesn't work. I get the circling "wait a moment" and then that just disappears and nothing happens. I did searches on microsoft and there were numerous people with the same issue. The one's that had the issue resolved said the issue was resolved with performing SFC scan by opening command prompt and typing sfc/scannow (I really didn't want to do this because last time I had a tiny computer issue I used command prompt like I was told on bleeping computer and I quickly realized I had no idea what I was doing, but the issue resolved easily). So, I opened command prompt and typed sfc/scannow, but when I pressed enter it said that I didn't have administrator privileges. I am the only user on the computer. When I go to settings it has me listed as the adminstrator. I finally found a way around the command prompt by right clicking it and selecting run as administrator and then selecting "yes" when it asked. I did the scan and it said it found no corrupt files. Then, I restarted the computer. After restarting the computer, I again used the password, and went back into settings. This time, the pin appeared there but underneath it had a link that said "Sorry, this PIN isn't working for your organization's resources. Tap or click here to fix it" . I clicked to fix it and it takes me to the microsoft window to setup a pin. I click "setup pin" and it says "Something went wrong. We weren't able to setup your pin. Sometimes it helps to try again or you can skip for now and do this later." I tried again numerous times but it doesn't work. I even tried deleting the pin and clicking to add one after but it just ends up taking me to the microsoft window to setup a pin and the same thing happens again. I did a search on windows forum and found numerous things saying that clearing the NGC folder helps, but I can't get access to that? I have no idea how to fix this. It's really annoying at this point.
  18. So I was following the instructions and everything disappeared. I entered this: ie4uinit.exe -show - then pressed enter I entered this: taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F - then pressed enter I entered this: DEL /A /Q "%localappdata%\IconCache.db" - then pressed enter When I wanted to go back to the instructions to copy the next thing everything was gone. I just have a blank screen. I was able to open the task manager CTL+ALT+DELETE to open windows explorer and ask you what to do but that's it. Command prompt is in the task manager but it opens a new window it doesn't have the stuff I had put into it. So do I just start over?
  19. Hello. I noticed last night that my desktop folders have grey x's in the left hand bottom corners. I noticed this after I synced the desktop folders to my OneDrive account. I have found a ton of stuff about this issue online...some people say it's an issue they have when syncing with different backup programs, others say it doesn't because they haven't done that and it still happened. The files still open and work fine. It seems to just be a visual annoyance. However, it seems that something is wrong since they are there. On the window's help forums discussing this issue some people said to refresh the desktop which I did and it didn't work. Some of the people who spoke of it being an issue after syncing to OneDrive said that they signed out of OneDrive and back in and that fixed it, but I went online to my OneDrive account, signed out and signed back in and the grey x's are still there. I tried to do a print screen (CTRL + ALT + PRT SC) to show you the grey x's, but it just took an image of my task bar at the bottom? So I'm not sure what that is about. It works fine if I do a print screen if I have a Word document open, just not if I am trying to do a print screen of the desktop? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!
  20. There is a file in my program files (x86) folder titled "Mozilla Firefoxsafeguard-secure-search.xml." I have no idea what this is? Is it a virus?
  21. Great! Thanks! That worked. I didn't copy it into the AppData folder, but for some reason I have to use that folder to get to where I copied it. I have to click on users then my name then click on appdata and then from there I click on a few more folders to get to the one I want.
  22. I used to have an "AppData" folder in my windows user folder but it doesn't seem to be there. I had some themes saved in there. I wrote down how to get to it so I wouldn't forget. I just tried to do it and I can't becase the "AppData" folder is missing. I used to click my name --> AppData --> Roaming --> Microsoft --> Templates --> LiveContent --> 15 --> User --> Document Themes --> 1033. I did a search for "document themes" in Windows (C:) and a few options came up. I found it in the options....it is: C:\Users\Kris\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft/Templates/LiveContent15\User\DocumentThemes/1033. But if I try to go to computer --> windows(C:) --> Kris --> there is no "AppData" folder there?
