  1. After a scan and clicking "clean and repair", a popup comes up. English version: "All windows will be closed. Please save your current work before continuing." Dutch version: This says "All processes are closed. Please save your current work before continuing". The first part should be "Alle vensters zullen gesloten worden." to be correct. Also note that the GUI apparently isn't ready for translations since button widths aren't adaptive... I used adwcleaner for the first time on a relative's machine that's sadly set to display in dutch, and since I wasn't familiar with this popup, I interpreted it as an informative statement that all my browsers were closed at that moment (as they should be), not that continuing would close all windows. My opinion that software should never be translated because there are always subtle but important mistakes in them grows stronger every time I use translated software...
  2. Yeah, I rebooted and the service is just gone now, needs to be installed over top a second time. Installer needs some work too...
  3. Installing the update and then trying to run it gives me an error: "could not connect to service". I checked the service and it installed itself into Disabled state... Nice bug Edit: disabled because it's marked for deletion, probably deferred install that will happen after reboot that the installer failed to mention
  4. I literally clicked the "install application updates" button in settings yesterday and it reported being up to date. At no time during the pre-scan updates or anything did it warn me about updates either. Seems the update mechanism is being wonky.
  5. When I open MBAM and tell it to run a manual full scan, it starts the process as usual (pre-scan operations and such), but then just instantly skips right over the actual scanning and shows results all amounting to 0. Edit: reboots and log wipes don't help. It used to work a while ago and I didn't change anything. mb-check-results.zip FRST.txt Addition.txt
  6. I just got a ton of driveby downloader crapware loading itself into my computer through a fake download on a fake website (yes, I fell for it, dammit). I got rid of most of it, except for one: my browser kept showing a hijackd homepage on startup despite everything being reported clean. I then found that the hijack was simply a URL added to the shortcut I used. MBAM does not seem to scan for this (and as usual, antivirus is just as oblivious to it too). Please add shortcut hijack scanning for junk like omniboxes and other homepagers?
  7. +1 for Palemoon and SumatraPDF And I'd like to suggest QuiteRSS (quiterss.exe), an excellent RSS reader that supports embedded content and scripting in HTML posts.
