mbamservice.exe slowing down network

I hope this has not already been reported, I did a google search, browsed a few pages of posts in these forums and saw nothing that seemed related.

 

I am running windows 7 SP1 with MBAM (Trial) 2.0.2.1012 and MSE 1.179.2943.0 and just within the last week or so I started having this problem. 

 

When windows starts up mbamservice.exe starts with it and my internet (using chrome, firefox or IE) is slow as crap with many websites timing out. Restarting did not fix the problem. MBAM and MSE both find no problems and nothing looks suspicious in RogueKiller.

 

I began killing processes to find the culprit and killing mbamservice.exe restores my network to full speed. To verify I turned the mbam scheduler service to manual start and restarted and I have no problems on restart.

 

I have found my fix, but I thought I would post this in case others are having the problem.

Let's try this first....

• Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs

  (the three files should be CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt)
