Initial problem was trying to update MBAM and AVG with problems. (Sorry didnt keep a record, hard to remember what started this.) Tried to reinstall MBAM and AVG and got redirected in IE or got message that web page was unavailable. Couldnt start MBAM or AVG or High Jack This

Got MBAM setup file through working computer, copied to flash drive and tried to reinstall on sick computer. In safe mode, MBAM installed and scanned for half a minute and crashed (more like just shut down and disappeared from screen.) Would try to start scan, but message appeared that it couldnt find path or device or that user didnt have permission.

I went through the different ways to start MBAM, that are listed on your FAQ. Got the same results as above. If I reinstalled the MBAM, it would scan for half a minute and then shutdown, and further attempts to start would produce message that it couldnt find it or I didnt have access to it.

I installed Avira Antivirus Personal. That would scan for over an hour before shutting down. As it seemed to find some viruses during the scan, I reinstalled it and scanned waiting for it to find a virus and then stop the scan and direct it to quarantine the virus. Then restart the scan. It found these virus files:

JAVA/Stutter.X

TR/Alureon.ams.22

EXP/CVE-2010.0840.BB.7

TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen

I then ran the computer in normal mode, and ran the Avira scan. Hard drive made funny noises for a while. Then got the blue screen "stop error" message that it shut down windows to prevent any damage. Restarted and computer did a chkdsk test, and reported recovering several files. CHKDSK seemed to report everything was OK.

Returned to safe mode and reinstalled MBAM and it did a quick scan without crashing. Found two files at the very end of the scan.

Restarted computer into safe mode with networking. Updated MBAM. Did a quick scan and then a full scan. It didnt find any infections.

Updated Avira and did a full scan and it found TR/Alureon.ams.22 again. During the scan, noticed that the keyboard wasnt working. Reinstalled the keyboard driver and keyboard was working.

Ran High Jack This, Defogger, DDS.scr, GMER

While running GMER, which was lasting about 20 minutes, blue screen "error stop" message reappeared.

Here are the reports from HJT and DDS. I am attaching the zip of the DDS report.

I appreciate in advance any assistance you can offer.

Rob
