Bad Length Error

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome to MBAM:

Sounds like some minor database corruption.

Please see the FAQ here.

Scroll down to:

20. ISSUE: I am receiving the message PROGRAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE when I try to open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, what does it mean and how can I fix it?

SOLUTION: Usually this occurs because your database file has become corrupt. It is usually corrected by following the instructions posted below (choose the instructions that apply to your version of Windows)

Essentially:

We are deleting the rules.ref file. Then run the program again and let it update.

Details how to proceed are in that particular FAQ section, item 20.

* For Windows XP and 2000:

* C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

* For Windows Vista and Windows 7:

* C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

Please let us know if this resolves the issue for you.

Best regards,
