Possible hijack, please help

I think my pc has either been hijacked or I stupidly welcomed some malicious code or virus with open arms. Either way I am not sure how to fix it. The only obvious sign is my Internet explorer browser's homepage is stuck on some foreign search engine calling it "ILESEARCH" and is telling me that I have to have admin rights to change these settings. I reset the settings of my browser when I was offline but as soon as I cut my Internet back on, the homepage immediately returned to the "other site." I am posting from my phone, have been using my wife's mac and have shut off my wifi switch in the case it is a hijacker. I installed hijackthis under a new name and did a scan. I also download malwarebytes. I am not sure how to read these exactly and I don't want to make any changes to my registry with my little knowledge.

As we don't deal with malware removal in this General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so that a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have.

• First, please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete.
  
• Then please post a NEW topic here.
  
• When posting your new thread, please make sure that, under "options", you select Track this topic and choose Immediate Email Notification, so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.
  
• One of the expert helpers there will give you free, one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.
  
• Please refrain from making any further changes to your computer such as (Install/Uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc...) unless advised by a malware removal helper. Thank you very much, daledoc! I apologize about the link and I will start the thread in the link you gave me. I am going to have to go with the first option as money is tight. Again, your advice is much appreciated.
