Greggars Posted November 5, 2010 ID:340001 Share Posted November 5, 2010 Recently I had a massive virus attack which I managed to quell, via System Restore - and after downloading Spybot S&D/SuperAntiSpyware (along with Malwarebytes) I already have, they all found everything they could and are coming back clear, aside from a few tracking cookies still around. However there's still problems with the computer - I think, at least, but I exhausted my technical knowledge getting rid of everything else, but something on the computer is still slowing my internet explorer down and I'm still getting some popups now and again.I do get the occasional message saying "windows host process has stopped working" or something like that which slows IE down, and also, when I'm scanning with S&D I get it scanning a load of filse under the name "virtumonde". I've no idea what these files are or where they're from, so I was wondering if anyone could help? I have my HijackThis log:Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4Scan saved at 09:44:38, on 05/11/2010Platform: Windows Vista SP1 (WinNT 6.00.1905)MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6001.18527)Boot mode: NormalRunning processes:C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exeC:\Windows\Explorer.EXEC:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exeC:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exeC:\Program Files\NewTech Infosystems\NTI Backup Now 5\BkupTray.exeC:\Windows\System32\igfxtray.exeC:\Windows\System32\hkcmd.exeC:\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exeC:\Windows\RtHDVCpl.exeC:\Program Files\Launch Manager\LManager.exeC:\Program Files\Acer\Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\x86\eDSLoader.exeC:\Windows\system32\igfxsrvc.exeC:\Program Files\Acer\Empowering Technology\ePower\ePower_DMC.exeC:\Program Files\Acer Arcade Deluxe\Acer Arcade Deluxe\ArcadeDeluxeAgent.exeC:\Program Files\Acer Arcade Deluxe\Acer Arcade Deluxe\Kernel\CLML\CLMLSvc.exeC:\Program Files\Acer Arcade Deluxe\PlayMovie\PMVService.exeC:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search\GoogleDesktop.exeC:\Program Files\SGPSA\ie3sh.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\ArcSoft\Connection Service\Bin\ACDaemon.exeC:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exeC:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exeC:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnscfg.exeC:\Program Files\Spybot - noknojon Posted November 5, 2010 ID:340002 Share Posted November 5, 2010 Hi and Welcome -Plese note that you never remove an infection via System Restore - This will only move the infection so that it is not seen , but it will still be there -Above this forum area it says "do not post logs here" please follow the directions to the correct area - As we do not work on Malware removal or diagnostics in the general forums please follow these directions -Please print out, read and follow -->What do I do now? , skipping any steps you are unable to complete. The next step is post a -->New Topic Here.
