Files not found

Recommended Posts

Hi,

trying to adjust my MBAM (free version) with Trend Micro, I have done everything what is suggested in topic considering those adjustments.

But I can not find two files: mbam-dor.exe and rules.ref.

Everything else seems to be ok, and this morning I successfully updated MBAM.

Any suggestions ???

Hello again Tommy,

But I can not find two files: mbam-dor.exe [...]

You cannot find this file as there's none in the recent MBAM files :) (May need to point this to an admin/mod)

The list of files (and the paths to find them) you need to added are as follows:

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

(and you can be found it at Section H, two posts below the one I gave at the other topic)

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks :)

Yes, I have that, but it is a little bit confusing, as usually I updated MBAM several times a day, but since yesterday it can be updated in the morning, otherwise it says "you have the latest datebase".

Thx.

Hello,

Sometimes the update is slow - maybe only 2 or 3 updates a day...

If I remember, it has passed a few hours since DB version 4323 released, so sometimes don't be afraid if do not get the update. (correct me if I'm wrong :) )

Try to arrange the next update in the afternoon tomorrow and see if the DB version updates, if so then that's OK :)

Update - At around 08:50 am (GMT -8) it updated to 4324

And have you tried the instructions there?

NOTE: By default Trend only allows .EXE and .COM files to be added to the list so you will need to type in *.ref or *.* and hit the Enter key on your keyboard to see the .ref file types.

Post back if you have further questions. Thanks. :D
