squall042 Posted June 30, 2008 ID:21444 Share Posted June 30, 2008 I got hit with a bomb... it added a toolbar to IE telling me how "secure" I am and an obnoxious little Systray icon that I CANNOT get rid of! it looks like the generic Windows security center icon, but it keeps changing from a red shield with an x and a blue shield with a ?. It pops up every now and again telling me that there's a "System Alert!" and that I should click it to get up-to-date anti-spyware software. When I do, it takes me to download AntiSpyCheck software. I really just want it to go away. I THOUGHT it was due the program "Windows Safety Alert" and went through the removal steps for that. I have also removed 3 other programs manually, which took away the toolbar, but not that damned icon. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?
