MSN and Hotmail sending v

Hello everyone

I formatted my computer yesterday and today when I went into my Hotmail, I saw that I had sent several emails to my contacts, as well as msn.

I'm sure it is not virus.

I changed the password but not resolved.

Is there any solution for this?

You should probably contact someone at Microsoft or Hotmail about this to see if they might know what's going on.

However, if you do feel that you are infected, please read the following:

Sorry for delay.

The work got me this week.

I don't know what happened, but the messages have stopped being sent. I did a scan with Kaspersky here and it found nothing.

Anyway, I appreciate your response.

I'm glad that you've come up clean in scan.

Did you scan with Mbam? If so, do you have the free or paid version? Because I was going to say if you have the paid version, if you are getting random IP blocks for what appears to be no reason, you could be infected and should visit the malware removal forum.

I got a random link sent into my hotmail from an online friend that I think is probably infected I need to email him to tell him but if his email is hacked as well (I have no way of knowing) then the hacker might get the info and not him. He's also sent me offline messages with malicious links before :/ Not intentionally of course.

If you can see sent emails in your sent folder, then I would be concerned that your account could have been hacked somehow. You may need to change your password and security questions - if you did this and it didn't work, then you may have malware that logs passwords or keystrokes.

If you were simply told by friends that they had received mail appearing to be sent by you, but you can find no evidence of your hotmail acccount being accessed, then it's possible your email address was spoofed. I have that problem with one of my accounts. I get emails sent to my own email address that appear to be sent by my account, but aren't.

It might be worth getting one of the experts that help out on the foum (in the HJT section) to make absolutely sure you are clean, as someone else has suggested. With what you've described, I really think that would be the best course of action.

I did a scan with MBAM and it found nothing. I've the paid version of the MBAM. But, for now, i'm not getting any alert blocking IP.

I can to see the emails in the folder of emails sent. And my MSN contacts told me I sent malicious messages to them.

I thought it was a trojan banker and ran the BankerFix tool here, but found nothing. So, I ran the MBAM and Kaspersky Antivirus 2010, but they also found nothing.

As I said before, I'll post a log in the malware removal area, like you two have guided me.
