Malwarebytes Freezes on Full Scan

Recommended Posts

Hi. After testing the free version of Malwarebytes and removing some rogue.ascentive malware, I decided to upgrade to the paid version of Malwarebytes 1.42. When I initially did the scan that detected the malware, I did a quick scan and upgraded immediately. Now that I have the paid version, the scan freezes about 30 mins into a full scan (quick scan still ok). I've tried it twice and it freezes at about, if not the same place. I have Trend Micro Internet Security Pro and have applied the exceptions that were in this post: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=17605. Any idea why it might still be freezing? Thank you.

Welcome to the forum JTDrago -

Try to manually update if you think that it is not updating properly -

This is the first option we put forward -

Then read items #7 and #8 from the link below - Also from our FAQ section -

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...ost&p=49525

Please note your license Number and re-enter it afterwards -

The items listed at #7 and #8 in this link can do a clean un/re install incase your version was corrupted in any way -

This is the second, if you think that you may still have some of the infection remaing - You will be helped for free -

Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.

One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available -

Thank you - :D
