No Audio after virus

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sorry for the multiple posts. I was told to post under this topic.

I had a virus and went through various cleanup sequences. No virus anymore but I do not have a sound when when I use any flash like utube. I did research and found some solutions. The solutions I found pointed me to the drivers32 folder in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32. This folder is empty, I cannot create a new string value or anything. Not even delete the folder. Please help.

I also trying creating a reg file to add the following. It says the reg has been updated but still nothing.

Hi,

Download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post the one that is not minimized.

Next, please download and run this version of ComboFix:

http://tinyurl.com/ycc4ls4

Ensure that all protection programs are disabled before proceeding, and be sure to install the Recovery Console when prompted to.

  • When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt along with a new HijackThis log so we may continue cleaning the system.
