No audio after virus cleanup

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Sorry for the double post. I posted this under PC help and did not get any reply.

I had a virus and went through various cleanup sequences. No virus anymore but I do not have a sound when when I use any flash like utube. I did research and found some solutions. The solutions I found pointed me to the drivers32 folder in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32. This folder is empty, I cannot create a new string value or anything. Not even delete the folder. Please help.

I also trying creating a reg file to add the following. It says the reg has been updated but still nothing.

Hi houston911 -

I recall your first post and was going to offer this advice then -

If you think your registry area may have been corrupted it may be worthwile posting this in the HiJack This area -

That way the experts may further resolve it - You may have missed a small part of the infection (easy to do) -

Also they may wish to review your removal history to ensure you are looked after fully - :)

I am not Passing you off - Just making a further idea available to you if you do not get a decent response - :)

Update MBAM and post a similar request there with your logs -

They use tools that will show if the removal was completed in the last 30 days and if it was fully cleaned, or if the problem is to blame for audio problems -
