Just a sincere thanks for making me look like a hero.

So my boss calls me at home. She sounds rather upset.

It seems her mother is visiting, was using my bosses' PC, and while on Facebook (go figure), she managed to pick up a nasty Security Tool infection. The PC is now getting pop-ups claiming to have found multiple infections, and asking for a CC number.

I talk her through running rkill and then download and install MBAM.

Update, Full Scan, Reboot, Rescan, check for traces, infection gone.

My bosses last words on the phone "You rule!" All thanks to you guys.

Maybe it's time to ask for a raise.

Must agree, it is nice to have a tool that makes people happy so easily. Took care of the GreenAV on a professors computer in about 4 minutes. Plus, it makes me happy as a technician to be able to fix these PITA problems in a short amount of time and still make a decent profit. Tech license was well worth it :-)
