Blocked Access form "malicious IP"

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about being blocked from a "malicious IP" Sorry it it is and please admin move if necesary.

I have been going to this one forum for quite a few years and since I reformated my hard drive and installed Malwarebytes it is telling me "Malwarebytes' Anti-malware has successfully blocked access to malicious IP: 217. 23.x.xxx"

My question is how do I get rid of this annoying popup by my taskbar? I am assuming that the site I have been going to is not in anyway Malicious because it has never given me any problems in the past. Or is Malwarebytes finding something there and blocking it?

I'm new to this forum. My first impression - looks great.

Thank you

Hi, I'm receiving this message: 'Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware has successfully blocked access to malicious IP:'. The pop-up appears at least once every minute. I'm running Windows XP, Spyware Terminator & Malwarebytes.

Do you have any suggestions?

Apologies for taking so long.

I need the IP and domain name affected please.

Hi, I've followed the instructions and the new post is here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=32074

The pop-up message is still occurring so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Could you follow the instructions in the following thread to rule out infection please.

Looking at your log shows the Crawler toolbar is the likely culprit;

Uninstalling the Crawler toolbar should resolve it, and I also noticed you've got the Ask toolbar installed, which I'd also recommend removing.
