network update

Hello

Just a quick question, Is there a way i can update from the network [From this pc] as i have 4 computers on the network, Mainly for saving bandwith really. If not can this be a suggestion?

In XP

You can copy Rules.ref from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\

to the same location on the other computers and just overwrite the file.

In Vista, the file location is C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\

Note that the Application Data (in XP) and ProgramData (in Vista) folders are hidden by default so you may have to unhide them.

Do i have to reset the program in order to get the Rules.ref to active the new the database file?

If you have MBAM open on the computer that you are updating the rules.ref file on, yes, you need to shut MBAM down and load it back up.
