MWB ENdpoint Agent 1.1.20 - Stops web browsers working

Hi,

 

We're deploying MWB 1.1.20 from our cloud console. We've noticed that some PCs are unable to browse the web after the agent is installed. the web pages either don't load or the browsers freeze and crash. Chrome, Firefox and Edge are affected.

So far we've only seen this behaviour on win 10.

Hello @kev

Could you get us some logs to look into? Lets use our Malwarebytes Support Tool utility as it gathers more data that I am interested in seeing.

  • Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  • Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  • Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  • You will be presented with a page stating, "Welcome to the Malwarebytes Support Tool!"
  • Click the Advanced Options link

  • Click the Gather Logs button

  • A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed to gather troubleshooting information from your computer
  • Upon completion, click OK
  • A file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop
    • If you do not see the .zip on the Desktop, please check the Desktop folder of the administrator.
  • Upload this file for us to review.
