internet file location

hello

i have windows 10, in the health report of the windows defender it says i should reset temporary internet files location. i wonder how it happened that i need to reset it. could it be that malware changed the location (in order to protect?) 

 

also, in respect to this thread 

could computer's crash record can help?

Google Chrome and Firefox among other apps resets the temp internet file location if you use Chrome or Firefox the health report may well show that and there is nothing wrong.

 

Windows 10 has a love affair with Microsoft Edge and any browser that tries to slip in edgewise needs to change system settings to work properly and Windows complains bitterly that you have failed to drink the Microsoft Edge kool-aid, you have a lot of nerve :)

 

I would say you are safe if a scan with MBAM shows nothing up.
