mountaintree16 Posted August 14, 2009 ID:110181 Share Posted August 14, 2009 Today I was on the Netflix site and I got my first IP bubble.I was on the page as if I wasn't logged in when this happened. and then I clicked on not a member? and it popped up a few times, but the site still loaded, so maybe it was just blocking an advertisement? this is the exact address it pops up on: hxxp://www.netflix.com/It DOESN'T pop up when I am at the actual login page: hxxps://www.netflix.com/LoginAttached is a screenshot.Update: I keep testing it, and when I go to netflix.com (NOT the login page, but the main page) it keeps popping up! But the page still loads. I am so confused. It's making me kind of scared to go to Netflix. I've been using them since October. Help please! This didn't happen at all when I was logged in, only after when I was checking out the site as a guest (not logged in).One more update: http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=174.132.110.98I don't really understand what I am seeing there, though. MysteryFCM Posted August 15, 2009 ID:110406 Share Posted August 15, 2009 Chances are, you're seeing the bug we're currently aware of as the IP in question, does not exist in the IPBL.
mountaintree16 Posted August 16, 2009 Author ID:110734 Share Posted August 16, 2009 Thanks Mystery.Er, I am a little confused by what you mean though?Do you mean that this is a FP or what do you mean?
MysteryFCM Posted August 16, 2009 ID:110760 Share Posted August 16, 2009 It's not technically an F/P as the IP isn't in the blacklist, but is instead, a bug in the IP Protection module (or more precisley, with the way XP requires the IP's be passed and processed)
mountaintree16 Posted August 16, 2009 Author ID:110763 Share Posted August 16, 2009 @ MysteryOh, okay. Yep, I'm on XP, which I think you already knew Hmmm so is it a malicious IP then or?
MysteryFCM Posted August 16, 2009 ID:110765 Share Posted August 16, 2009 It's on a malicious range, but the IP itself seems benign.
mountaintree16 Posted August 16, 2009 Author ID:110766 Share Posted August 16, 2009 Oh okay. Thanks Mystery It's not good that its on a malicious range, although I'm glad that the IP itself seems to be okay. Millions of people use Netflix!!! That's the main reason I was so concerned. They need to change their provider apparently then I guess. :/
MysteryFCM Posted August 16, 2009 ID:110770 Share Posted August 16, 2009 They need to change at least one of their providers
