"Unable to connect the Service"

Hello, I've been using Malwarebytes for a year or two alongside 360 Total Security (don't know if that has anything to do with this error, but I'll include it anyway) now and recently it gave me a notification that the program was out of date, so I updated to Malwarebytes 3.

But when I tried to start the new version, it took a while (about 20 seconds) and then it gave me this error;

I've googled this issue and on infopackets.com it said a solution was to fiddle with the service in the service manager, but it wasn't showing up

it said if it wasn't showing up I could request his remote support, but I don't want to go that far yet, is there another solution for this?
