ATAPI (11) \Device\Ide\IdePortX error in the Event Viewer

But my post was deleted. Intel RST update resolved this for a while, but no longer.

Windows 7 SP1.
MBAM Free 3.1.2.1733 with Aug 25 updates.
Intel RST 12.9.0.1001 (highest officially supported available for chipset (Asus P8P67D) + OS.

ATAPI errors only occur during the MBAM scan (rootkit scan part), and the system appears unresponsive.
There are no other errors or issues on the platform whatsoever.

I believe some of the device/fs level commands you use during the rootkit scan conflict with Intel RST instructions causing the errors.
