Irvineboy Posted March 29, 2017 ID:1113133 Share Posted March 29, 2017 I noticed that AdwareCleaner is owned by Malewarebytes. I have Malewarebytes that I run for virus scans. Is that enough or is it repetitive to have AdwareCleaner?
Irvineboy Posted March 29, 2017 Author ID:1113146 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Also, how are these two tools different from Junk Removal Tool?
Staff jboursier Posted March 29, 2017 Staff ID:1113448 Share Posted March 29, 2017 Hello, You can keep both Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner, they can be used in parallel, same for JRT. Best regards,
Irvineboy Posted March 29, 2017 Author ID:1113455 Share Posted March 29, 2017 I thought all three tools removed the virus. However, the virus came back so I posted the scan results and now am not sure what to do. It seems like the virus goes dormant and then reappears. Frustrating. Irvineboy Posted March 31, 2017 Author ID:1113893 Share Posted March 31, 2017 So why doesn't Malewarebytes combine the 3 products into one?
Staff jboursier Posted April 3, 2017 Staff ID:1114455 Share Posted April 3, 2017 Hello, Despite being similar, they serve different purposes with different ways to use them, that's why they still exist as separate tools.
