Internet explorer process stays open even after closing window

I noticed upon installing MBAM 3, that upon closing internet explorer, it's process remains open in task manager unless I terminate it there. I have no such problem on Chrome, Firefox, or Vivaldi.If I don't terminate each time I open ie and then close it,another of the same process stays open in task manager. No other security software installed. Only adblock plus running in the browser. Clean application install. No upgrade. OS:windows 10 Pro 64bit.It's not a big deal for me,just figured i'd report it.
