No internet connection product service dependency filtering engine fail

Hello. I believe I have a virus. I am not getting any internet connection. I have called the cable company and they have stated that it's probably a virus. I a, getting the error product service dependency base filtering engine error. I am trying to run a scan through Norton and it's not fixing anything. 

Can anyone please help?

Yes, problems with the Windows "Base Filtering Engine" (BFE) service *can* be a sign of malware infection.
You might want to get some help checking the system.
